ABOUT THE RACE
The Tryptophan Half Marathon 10k/5k is a North Georgia Thanksgiving Day tradition. Before digging into their Thanksgiving feast, runners and walkers will work up their appetite participating in one of the three distances: Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K. Our 9th annual Tryptophan race takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2020.
The Tryptophan Half Marathon, 10k/5k is a chip-timed race on a flat course. All participants receive a finishers medal, a long-sleeved race tee, and FREE photography.

Participants are encouraged to sign up early as there is a participant cap for all distances due to limited space. Carpooling is also suggested as the parking lot could fill up quickly. Due to the high volume of runners/walkers and the limited space, no dogs, baby strollers, bikes, or skates will be allowed. Participants that register by 11/20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt! Races will happen rain or shine.
Watch for updates as we unveil a new exciting race for Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 26, 2020. Get ready to explore South Forsyth County!
